Find and unlock doors
Choose a site
Open Locks and check the site shown in the header or site banner. Tap the site selector to choose another available site. The door list and maintenance tools update for that site's permissions.
Use Nearby to find locks within Bluetooth range. Where offered, All shows the broader device list available to your account. A lock listed under All is not necessarily reachable over Bluetooth from your current location.
Unlock with the app
- Stand near the correct door and enable Bluetooth.
- Tap the door tile to unlock, or use its separate unlock button if shown. Long-press behavior depends on your app and permissions.
- If using the unlock control in details, follow its prompt; press and hold when prompted.
- Wait for the success or error message before operating the door.
If a lock uses a spin-to-wake behavior, turn the knob to wake it before retrying. Your site's configuration and lock firmware determine the supported behavior.
Understand access and roles
Members see doors and schedules made available through access grants. Out of schedule means the current time is outside the applicable access window.
Org Admins, Site Admins, and Configurers may see different tools. Setup, device details, activity, and mode controls appear according to the selected site's permissions. A role label alone is not a guarantee that every action is available on every device.
At a signed-in Link site, the app focuses on device management and does not offer the standard member unlock control. A redeemed door or service pass is a separate context that can provide unlock access to its covered doors.
Unlock with a wallet pass
If you have added an eligible pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, present your phone or supported watch at a compatible reader according to the wallet's instructions. Wallet presentation is separate from selecting a Bluetooth unlock in Seamless.
If a door will not open
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Site or door missing | Correct account, selected site, membership, and access grants |
| Out of schedule | Grant hours and the site's time zone |
| Lock not nearby | Bluetooth permission, distance, and whether the lock needs to wake |
| Access denied | Credential, grant sharing, accepted credential type, and device state |
| Update required | Follow the prompt; ask authorized staff to update lock firmware |
| Offline or stale information | Reconnect to refresh access and device information |
If the lock is in service mode or hibernate, contact authorized staff. Repeatedly issuing new credentials will not resolve a device-mode restriction.
