View access logs
- Select the site and open Devices.
- Open the lock's detail view and its activity/access logs.
- Select the date range and review the displayed time zone.
- Filter by person, credential type, or event type as needed.
- Open or inspect a relevant entry to understand the attempt.
Logs identify the event time, user when known, credential information, and event type. Depending on the device, events can include access decisions, lock commands, cooldown, and changes to proximity sensing. The event is a report from the system, not a guarantee that a person physically passed through the door.
Logs default to the site's time zone. Use the time-zone selector when investigating an event reported in another zone. New entries refresh while you review the list.
Unknown users and temporary passes
A record without a linked person is not necessarily an unassigned physical card. It can represent a temporary pass or another credential type. Use Add user only when the interface offers it for a supported physical credential.
For a recognized person, use the user link to review their details while retaining the relevant site context.
