Access grants
An access grant is a set of doors and a schedule, shared with one or more user groups at a Seamless Dashboard site. Use it to manage when a team can open particular doors.
Create and share a grant
- Select the site and open Access Grants.
- Create a new grant. Name it for the access it provides, such as Loading dock weekdays.
- On the grant page, add the doors and save the selection.
- Set the schedule and save it. Review the days, start/end times, and site time zone.
- Open the sharing control, select the user groups, and choose Done.
Check the door count, schedule, and shared groups after saving. Each is needed for the intended access.
Change doors or hours
Open the grant and edit its doors or schedule. These changes affect every group receiving that grant. If one team needs different hours, use a separate grant rather than changing a shared schedule for everyone.
Use 24/7 Access when a custom grant should have no time restriction, or save a schedule to limit it. The default admin grant is fixed at 24/7 and cannot be edited.
The schedule editor offers day/time selection and presets. Review the actual hours before saving a preset. For overnight access, check both the start and end of the interval.
Stop sharing or delete a grant
Stop sharing with a group to remove that group's access through this grant. Delete a custom grant when no recipient should receive it. Review the confirmation before completing either action.
A person may still receive access through other grants. Protected default grants have restricted editing and deletion controls.
Troubleshoot missing access
Check that the person is in the selected site and intended group, the grant is shared with that group, the door is included, and the current time is within the schedule. Then check the credential and device status.
Access-grant schedules are separate from device-policy schedules. One grants people access; the other changes lock behavior.
