Sites and settings
A site groups doors, members, access rules, and local settings. Check the selected site before inviting someone, changing a policy, or issuing a pass.
Switch between the organization and a site
Use the context switcher in the dashboard navigation. Select the organization for shared administration or select a site to work on that location. Only sites you are allowed to manage appear.
If you can see a site but not an expected page, ask an Org Owner or Site Manager to check your role. Changing sites can change your available tools.
Create a site
An Org Owner can create a site from Sites:
- Start the create-site flow and choose Seamless Dashboard or Link API.
- Enter the site details and time zone. Add a help email and phone number if available.
- Assign the people who will manage the site, or skip this step to add them later.
- Select the devices from Inventory to include, or skip and assign devices later.
- Review the selections and create the site.
Use Seamless Dashboard when you want to manage members, user groups, and access grants in the web app. Use Link API for an integration-managed site. See Seamless and Link sites.
Edit settings
Open the site's Site Settings (or Settings in a Link site). Update the relevant section and use its Save control. Discard returns that section to its saved values.
- Site details: name, location details, time zone, and support contacts.
- Roles: assign site management responsibilities and compare roles.
- Aliro: manage issuer configuration and guest-pass readiness.
- Credentials: configure the wallet provider and credential profiles.
Check the site time zone before editing schedules. Access logs default to site time, with a display override available.
Roles and membership
| Web role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Org Owner | Organization administration and management across sites |
| Site Manager | Administration of the assigned site, including members and access |
| Configurer | Device setup and configuration tools for the assigned site |
| Member | Uses assigned access without site management responsibilities |
A person can have different responsibilities at different sites. Organization ownership already provides management across sites; membership is a separate choice. The mobile app may label administrative roles Org Admin or Site Admin.
Use the role comparison in the dashboard when assigning a role. Door access should also be reviewed in the person's access grants.
Externally managed Link sites
When configuration is owned by an external access-control system, the dashboard explains that policies are managed externally. Devices still report status. Coordinate a management-source change with the integration owner; it changes which system controls device configuration.
